Twitter is so famous that it will soon be on TV!
According to a Variety report, Twitter plans to create a TV show. Reveille productions and Brillstein Entertainment Partners, both based in Los Angeles, are said to be part of the creation of the show.
Twitter’s plans include an unscripted show, which will put “ordinary people on the trail of celebrities in a revolutionary competitive format,” the Washington Times reported.
According to Variety, the show is the idea of author Amy Ephron, and was founded by NBC Entertainment executive Ben Silverman.
ABC’s Ugly Betty and NBC’s The Office are two of Reveille Production’s biggest hits. Reality shows, The Biggest Loser and American Gladiators are also credits under Reveille’s belt.
Brillstein Entertainment is responsible for The Sopranos, According to Jim, and NewsRadio.
The Associated Press reports that Twitter is one of the Internet’s fastest growing sites and Nielsen reports that Twitter skyrocketed from 475,000 users to 7 million in one year.
